What is a sleep study?
A sleep study is the most accurate test for diagnosing sleep apnea. It records what happens with your breathing while you sleep. You can have your sleep study at a time when it is convenient to you, and in the comfort of your own home.
The home sleep study will record:
The number of episodes of snoring and sleep apnea (if any)
The amount of oxygen in your blood
How much air is moving through your nose while you breathe
Your heart rate
Chest movements that show whether you’re making an effort to breath
Position in which minimum sleep apnea episodes occur
